I don’t see the baggage rules and rates for the airline that I will be traveling on.
The fees, limitations and options are constantly changing, and these days the changes are usually for the worse. You should contact the airline to check the details before you fly, because the rules depend many factors, such as whether it’s tourist season (different for each airline and each destination) and whether a full-size or commuter-size airplane will be used. Because airlines may need to substitute a plane at the last minute, plan to be flexible and resourceful.
ASMP members used to get a nice discount on baggage with certain airlines. Is that still true?
Discounts are getting mighty scarce. Airlines, squeezed for cash, are raising prices on everything — especially baggage. It cannot hurt to request a Media Discount rate when you book the ticket, but don't be surprised to learn that the airline no longer allows it.
