After consideration of 500 (!) suggested names for ASMP's new social bookmarking resource, judges Ken Carbone, Colleen Wainwright and
Rob Haggert have made their pick based on appeal and relevance. They have selected CameraCake.com as the winning name entered by Andrea Marie Brandt, who receives a prize package worth over $1500: a PDF portfolio from
Agency Access ($495 value), a PhotoShelter Pro Account free for 1 year ($549 value) , a one-hour consultation from Judy Herrmann of 2goodthings.com
($250 value), and a $250 gift certificate from Blurb. When asked about the name, Andrea said, "It reminded me of how we're all in this together - all different types of photographers and videographers - sharing the same cake." According to Project Leader Judy Herrmann, "
The name conjures up wonderful associations - wishes and dreams, excitement, tasty rewards - just like being a photographer. I love the idea that, together, we're mixing up a delicious resource that we all can take a big bite from." Look for more information on the site's debut in next month's ENEWS.
