  Update, 6/24: The bill has been withdrawn; sponsors felt the heat.

• Urgent Legislative Alert: The lobbyists who pushed the New York bill are at it again in California, worse than before. (7/17/07)

• Getty Images proposes new $49 'web use' license. A coalition of imaging associations, led by Stock Artists Alliance and including the ASMP, has raised strong objections to the plan.

• Getty announces revised usage terms for the $49 license. Stock Artists Alliance says the new language is a major improvement.
