The following is an important email that was sent out to the chapter leaders of ASMP:

New Capabilities in Member Database for Chapter Leaders.

This note is to supplement the information you received about the new ASMP membership database. As a Chapter leader, you have some extra capabilities.

• Using the Search tab in the member database, you can view the records of all members of your chapter, optionally including the dropped members. Or you can select records based on birth date, zip code, specialty, membership category and many other database fields.

• Based on the results of a search, you can make a list of email addresses, suitable for pasting into a mail program. Or you can generate a set of postal mail labels in a PDF file that you can print onto standard (Avery 5160 or equivalent) label stock.

• Via the Utilities tab, you can get an export of your Chapter membership list in a comma-separated (CSV) text file that is suitable for use in most spreadsheets and database programs. The national office will no longer be emailing out the roster at fixed intervals; you just make one when you need it.

• If you are the Chapter membership chair or hold an executive position, you can view the dues status and outstanding balance of your Chapter members.
