ASMP/ASPP Presents

This event has passed. Its description is archived below.

ASMP Oregon and ASPP West are bringing together a panel of experts including Creative Directors, Art Directors, Producers, and Photo Agents to review portfolios. The format includes a live panel critique and one-on-one portfolio reviews. Come learn what reviewers from different disciplines are looking for in portfolios today and how photographers can tune their work for buyers and creatives across multiple markets. Submit images, have your portfolio reviewed or just come and listen. But hurry! SPACE IS LIMITED! SPECIAL OFFER: ON-SITE PORTFOLIO REVIEWS BY THE PANELISTS SHOW YOUR WORK: If you are an image maker we have two opportunities to share your portfolio work at this event! PANEL REVIEW: Submit 5 images (with credit line or anonymous). Your images will be displayed on a large screen and ALL the panelists will review the work and provide feedback during a live panel discussion. Submission guidelines are below and must be received by on or before March 16, 2014.

1-ON-1 PORTFOLIO REVIEW: Register in advance to have one of our panelists review your portfolio in a 15-minute private consultation. Register before March 16 and we’ll confirm your reviewer and assign a specific time slot during the evening for your 1-on-1 portfolio review session.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR LIVE PANELIST REVIEW (Event prior to individual portfolio reviews): STEP 1: Choose up to 5 images from your portfolio. STEP 2: Submit jpegs, 1600 pixels on the long side. Place the image files in a folder titled with last name, underscore, first name (Doe_John) and compress into a ZIP file. STEP 3: Unless you wish your work to remain anonymous, include your name/logo to the BOTTOM RIGHT corner of EVERY slide.

Please submit only your copyright-owned images. Be sure the images you are submitting are of your highest quality. Tasteful nudity is OK; pornography is not. By submitting your images you authorize ASMP/ASPP to display and review as the panel sees fit on March 20, 2014. ASMP/ASPP cannot guarantee that all images submitted will be displayed for review. ASMP/ASPP reserves the right to reject images for any reason. After the event, your slides will be deleted.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR ONE-ON-ONE REVIEWS: You will have 15 minutes for your review. This is a live, professional review and critique of your images. Bring your portfolio in the format that shows your work at its best, either print or digital. You must provide your own viewing platform for digital images. If you will be showing your images in digital format, at least 5 minutes prior to your review time, you should have your computer on and screen ready for review. Please note, there may or may not be Internet access in the studio. Do not rely on accessing images you have posted on the web for your portfolio.
