ASMP Colorado Chaper is holding a Vision Session on Saturday, November 16th, 9AM to 4PM, and we'd like you to be there. The meeting will be guided by a facilitator and a graphic recorder with a goal of refocusing and re-energizing our chapter for the benefit of the Colorado photographic community.
In addition to members that attend, Eugene Mopsik, Executive Director of ASMP will be there as a participant and observer. We also plan on inviting past members who have left the chapter, assistants, students and established members of the photo community who have chosen not to join a professional organization.
Goals for the day: -An understanding of the current landscape for photography in Colorado -Establish what the needs of Colorado photographers are -Determine how ASMP can provide relevant resources to meet those needs -Learn what emerging photographers think about their career and ASMP -Establish membership chair to reach out to assistants and emerging photographers -Elect/appoint interim officers to meet compliance for the chapter -Appoint committee chairs for events, social media, etc.
The day will start with a members only meeting to get input. Then other members of the photographic community will join us to share their insights and help create the vision map.
We recognize that we are asking you to give up a Saturday, and hope you understand that this is a process that will take some time as well as fresh minds, so an evening session is not an option. Please show your support for ASMP by registering now.
We also are looking for names of key people in the photo community (past members who have left the chapter, assistants, students and established members of the photo community who have chosen not to join a professional organization). If there is someone you would like to see at the meeting, please email
