Used widely for many years in television newscasting and motion pictures, chroma key compositing (commonly called green screen) is rapidly growing in demand and use in the photography industry. This powerful technique offers considerable potential for professionals needing to expand their image compositing capabilities.
This Master Class is an introductory but extensive seminar for still photographers that will give a full overview of the basic techniques of shooting and lighting for chroma key; briefly cover software and post-production workflow; touch on some advanced concepts; and discuss its diverse business applications for professional photographers.
The presenter is ASMP-KC Board member Bob Compton, who specializes in large event and meeting imaging services, theatrical performance photography, and commercial work. Bob has been developing his green screen processes for just over 5 years.
The venue is StagePort, which houses a large green background wall and white cyc wall in its 40'x50' sound stage.
