ASMP AZ/PHX Presents

Tools & Tech at Tempe Camera

This event has passed. Its description is archived below.

This weekend, we hope you'll join ASMP Arizona/Phoenix and the gang at TCR for our "Tools and Tech" day at Tempe Camera. As a long-term chapter sponsor, Tempe Camera is hosting this free event to help you get to know the staff and the wide variety of resources available at TCR.

There will be plenty of time to meet other local photographers, get some hands-on time with the latest gear, and even discover some things you didn't know Tempe Camera offered.

Event Schedule

While we may drift from this schedule a bit, here's a general idea of what's in store:

10:0012:00: Join us for a meet and greet downstairs in Tempe Camera's in-house studio. Light refreshments will be provided.

In addition to snacks, drinks, and good company, some of the latest and greatest studio and lighting gear will be available for on-hands testing! If you've been looking for an opportunity to test out Profoto B1 and Profoto B2 lighting kits, Litepanels LED lights, or the Pentax 645D medium-format digital camera, now's your chance.

12:0012:30: Have you heard the buzz about "drone" photography? Whether you're curious or ready for takeoff, here's an opportunity to learn more. Tempe Camera now offers the DJI Phantom 3 quadcopter. With a built in 12 megapixel camera capable of 4K video, this may be just the tool for your next shoot. TCR's most experienced pilot, Eric, will be on hand to demo the capabilities of this latest tool in the toy box.

12:301:30: Get to know the rental, repair, and sales departments! Sure, you've probably used them all before, but you may be surprised by the depth of inventory and capabilities they each have today.

1:302:00: Whether you're shooting film or digital, Tempe Camera's Photo Imaging Center is still there for your development and printing needs. Join us for a safari to the lab to see the products and services it offers (and a peek at the 503 West gallery!).

We hope to see you at Tempe Camera on Saturday morning! Feel free to bring a friend (or two, or three).
