Joyce presents photographs from her retrospective book titled "A Life in Photography." Her stories offer an intimate insight into her multi-faceted career. She is considered one of today's top working portrait photographers. During her presentation, Joyce takes us behind the scenes of her assignment work. She also will share never-before-seen 20 by 24 inch Polaroid prints. Participants in this event will have an in depth question and answer conversation about her working process, how she engages her subjects and most importantly how she helps them help her create here signature style of intimate portraits.

Joyce Tenneson is the author of sixteen books including the best seller, Wise Women, which was featured in a six-part Today Show series. She is the recipient of many honors, including the Lucie Awards'Fine Art Photographer of the Year in 2005 and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Professional Photographers of America in 2012. In a poll conducted by American Photo Magazine, readers voted Tenneson among the ten most influential women in the history of photography. Tenneson is currently working on a new book of her unpublished 20"x24" Polaroid one-of-a-kind photographs. She is represented by Dowling Walsh Gallery on Main Street in Rockland, Maine.
